About the artist:
Régulo Pérez, is a Venezuelan painter and caricaturist. He studied at the School of Visual Arts Cristobal Rojas, Caracas (1945-1947). It is part of the youth group Free Art Workshop, Caracas (1948). In the early fifties he traveled to Rome where he remained until 1952, during which resides in Paris. In 1956 he returned to Venezuela, defined by Jacobo Borges and Luis Guevara Moreno guidance from a social figurative movement against constructivist trends, known as the New Figuration.
